Blog #9 Closing the door on freedom, should we stop the Syrian refugees from escaping atrocities?

Good morning cadets. As we began to discuss in class last week, your task this week is to post your opinions, either pro or con on whether the United States should continue with bringing in Syrian Refugees after the wave of terrorist attacks around the world in the past two weeks.  You must listen/read the NPR news article to get a better understanding on how the Syrians will be allowed to come to the U.S. Once you have done this, post your personal opinion and use an article from a reliable source/video to support your believe. Good luck and remember to post positive feedback on at least one of your peer's work.  Good luck and make sure we keep this a friendly, spirited assignment.

    I don't think we should let any refugees in at all. We shouldn't because we cant tell who the good guy is and who the bad guy is. I honestly feel bad but we shouldn't except any of them and especially not in the position we are currently in.

    I believe that we should take in the Syrian refugees in, since its the moral choice to do ,and we'll have to be willingly to take a risk because our nation is all about freedom and justice. Although there are cons like fear of terrorism ,money and population ,it will be repeating how the Jewish were killed in World War 2 .We will have to do a thorough process for the refugees although it will take time and its necessary to avoid terror attacks while allowing the refugees in.

    In my opinion, we should take in the Syrian refugees , because our nation is all about justice and freedom . Our nation is all about immigrants that come to the usa for a better life. Syrian refugees have a right to be safe and live in a good condition. They are in a state of emergency and we should help. They are humans and as humans , we should all unite. We can all unite and fight terrorism. We can unite and start creating world peace rather than always having enemies.

    On this certain topic, i am very impartial on it. I have reasons why i say we should and why we should not take in the syrian refugees. My overall judgement is that we should let them in under scrutiny because there may be a chance that the refugee's are really connected to ISIS. With that, i believe that just because you are a certain race or believe in a certain religion, you should not be labled with stereotypes.

    In my opinion I believe that the U.S should let the Syrian refugees come in the united states, but under some conditions for example the Syrian people letting the U.S know information about them and if they know information about Isis. Check if they have criminal records or something, and if the Syrians cooperate they can help the U.S out!

    I believe that we should take in the 10,000 Syrian refuges into the United States. WITH CAUTION. I say this simply due to the high risks of taking them in. As we stand, it is only humane to take them in, because it is far much more significant or positive that 10,000 Syrians survive then the other 10,000 under control by ISIS.

    In my opinion, I think we should take in the Syrian refuges into the US. First of all we are all human being also as them. They come to US for survival and I believe that not every Muslin is a terrorist. It's not what they want to make the tragedy happened. They just the innocent citizens who live in the country that has no peace of. They want the peace and freedom, so we should accept them. However we should strengthen the security system to reduce the dangers.

    In my opinion I don't think we should take in that many syrian refugees. If we take in 10,000 there is a very large chance at least 100 of them or more could be terrorists. And considering the attacks we've done to Syria they probably want revenge. After the paris incident, people should be extra careful because isis now thinks they can get one over on us. No one saw paris coming. They might try to do it again but this time to the U.S.

    We should bring in syrian refugees. We should be very careful because one of them could be a terrorist.We are risking bringing in a terrosist. But more importantly most ofthese people are just looking for a safe place and it is morally right.

    in my opinion I beleive that we shouldn't allow any Syrian refugees into America even though what's going on in Syria is extremely devastating to hear about. I don't think we should allow Syrian refugees here because by doing so we are putting ourselves at more risk and we cannot afford to do that at this time because we can't even support our own homeless and starving people.

    I believe that the US should be taking in more refugees, because it is the humane thing to do and there are extensive back round checks done on each refugee that is selected to enter the US.

    I think that the us should allow syrian refugees in. If they are escaping from war they need a place to stay, and since the us is the "land of the free" we should provide a shelter for the refugees. I found a site with the pros and cons allowing refugees to enter the us.

    I have to say that I feel as if we shouldn't let the Syrian people into our country because of what we are currently going through . I also feel like we shouldn't let them come through because we won't know whether someone good or bad is coming in .

    in my opinion i think we should let the syrian refugees in because we are all humans and we deserve to be free regardless our nationality , America is a country about justice and freedom and just because all the innocent people are from Syria doesn't mean they will harm us , it would be unfair for them not to be able to be free . But i do think the government should investigate each one of the refugees therefore they will guarantee Americans safety.

    like we discussed in class, we would be allowing 10000 refugees in to america. i think this is not a wise number to start out with. maybe start out with 1000. i think this because the main reason is that some of them could be working for isis. not everyone necessarily is voluntarily working for isis. some people could be blackmailed for the safety/wellfair of their family/friends.
