Blog #7 Thank a Veteran for their contributions to our Freedom


Good Morning Cadets. Your task this week is to find a thoughtful video on YouTube that is a tribute to Veterans and post the link to our website.  Remember to post your own personal thanks to Veterans for their sacrifices and explain why you chose the video. Lastly you must comment on at least one of your peer's work/post.  Once you have done all three of these requirements you will be eligible for a possible 100 points for your work. Remember that you only get credit for your video if you post it before someone else does.  Here is my video and I look forward to watching yours. I chose this one because of the music and the great work that salutes all of our Veterans, including those that went into space. Yes, they were in the military too.  I hope you like this one.

    I chose this video because of it's music. If you listen to the lyrics they have deep meaning. One of the pictures in the video really shows the pain of war and loss suffered by veterans. The picture appears around the 1:12 mark

    I chose this video as it reminds me of what Veterans` day really means. It made me realize how much our society as a whole has declined in the american spirit. Much of us today just believe Veterans day as a day off from school, in reality it has a far deeper meaning as it really commemorates those who allowed us to live in this country today. Thank you veterans and thank you 1SG Lewis and Major Lee.

      This video is true in so many ways we just don't listen to anything. We don't think of the past and the present we are oblivious, all these people in/were in the service don't get as much recognition as they should.

    I chose this link because I fell like the images shown in the video were a great tribute. I also like the video because I feel like the song used was a good choice. Thank you veterans (including those who are no longer with us). I know now that I live with freedom because you fought for me.

    I choose this video because it really makes me cry. The video is showing that people's actions when they saw their dad, son or husband back from military. It has take long time to see the person who is the military which makes me wanna cry.

    We think our problems are so big and we take things for granted. The men and women fighting now, the men and women that fought before them fight for us to complain. Some of us will be in service and then Veterans and we are all fighting for the same thing.

    I now i understand the importance of veterans day because before i truly didn't pay much attention to it but now i realize how world impacting it is. I am honestly greatful for our troops! And it's a bigger meaning than just a day off it's a day where we should give thanks to those who each day risk their lifes and unlike us live years without seeing family members nor friends. And so I say Thank You!��

    I say thank you to our veterans who fought for our country because with out them I wouldn't be free to do what I want and say what I want. I'm really grateful for those who fought and give me the freedoms I got today. I picked the video I picked because it shows so much respect to our veterans and how much they do for our country

    This video displays the rigors of battle, and tributes the servicemen and women who fought in the middle east. I chose this video because it shows servicemen and women in action, as well as show pictures of soldiers who paid the ultimate price.

    Thank you, to the veterans whom fought this countries battles, as well as the brave men and women serving this country today. Without the service of these young men and women, the United States will not the country it is today. They dedicate their lives for this country, and for that- I am very grateful.

    I am an immigrant from Syria. I came to this country for freedom and a better life. Were it not for the soldiers who fight and fought for this nation I wouldn't be here now enjoying the rights all are born with. Thank you.

    I chose this because the music is heartfelt and triggers feelings and the photos really show what its like to be a soldier and sacrifice. It also shows the upsides to being a soldier. All through photos. I thank the military for everything they do for us to protect our country.

    I have selected this video because it shows how our veterans have served for our country and fought for what was right . it also has a heart touching speech to show how they served for America .

    The veterans of our military services have put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. They have deducted their lives to their country and deserve to be recognize for their commitment not only once a year but everyday.

    i picked this video because it shows the dedication and hard works it takes for soldiers to truely be ready to defend the U.S.A. but also i liked the music and the images went well with the music. becasuse some of it represents the army. some represents the navy some the air force and some the marines and some the coast guard. but over all it was a great video. that i really loved.
