Blog #25 First Aid and how to save a life

Saving a life can be the most rewarding and gratifying act that you may ever perform. During our class this week, you will learn about First Aid for CPR, Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation and the Heimlich Maneuver. Your task this week is to find a Good Samaritan story about someone that saved a persons life. This story should be recent and should be in either a news story, video, or online account.  Post the story information to our site along with the proper URL and make sure you comment on at least one of your peer's work.  Remember also that you have your Cadence Calling/Marching Performance Final coming up on the 8th of June.  Make sure you are practicing and getting ready for that. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your stories and hearing your cadences.  Here is my video about a Good Samaritan:

Blog #24 Show your pride for those that served

Good morning cadets. We are in the process of celebrating Memorial Day this coming Monday so your task this week is to honor those individuals that have fought for and served our country, most have paid the ultimate sacrifice. You must post a video to our site that honors the memory of our valiant service members. You may also post a story or a poem that reflects their courage. If you create your own video and post it to YouTube and then to our site, you will get double credit for your work this week. Remember that the last thing that you have to do is to post a comment on at least one of your peer's works. Thank you so much for taking the time to display your caring for these individuals.  Here is a video that I feel is very fitting for this week.

Blog #23.1 Which side of your brain is more dominant

Good morning Cadets. As you know, I am out with a Doctors Appointment today so rather than not continuing on with our work with the brain, here are your two challenges for today.  Your first one is to click on the link that is provided and take the test to see which hemisphere of your brain is more dominant. Once you have completed the test, post your response here to our Blog Site. After you have accomplished this task, you must search and find a more detailed site with a better test than I have provided for you. Remember to comment on your peer's work and information. I hope you are surprised to find out your answers and here is the link just for you.  Brain Dominance Test  Thanks again and I'll see you tomorrow. Don't forget that if you finish your work online, you can go back and complete your other blog work as well.
