Blog #16 My Goals and Dreams for the future

Your last blog of the year and here is your chance to be daring and let us know what your goals and ambitions are.  Since there is no wrong answer to this work, be honest and define your goals for your next year at the Fort and for life.  Remember to be specific as always and to define how you are going to accomplish these goals.  My personal goal for this summer is to lose 10 pounds over the next 2 months.  I am going to go to gym a minimum of 5 times a week and work out for at least one hour each day.  Additionally, I am going to ride my bike a minimum of 5 miles daily, more if time allows.  My food intake is already addressed so by limiting my calories and increasing my exercise, I should be able to measure my weight loss.  I hope to see you back in class at the start of the new school year, thinner and happier.  Regards and here is a video I hope that you enjoy.

Next year in FHHS I will work harder to improve my grades as this year has proven difficulty in certain subjects. Over the summer and into following school years I plan to work out on a daily basis so I can be achieve a healthier fitness status. As for life goals they remain the same, serving as a public servant under federal law enforcement agencies with military service as well.

My goal for next year in Fort Hamilton High School is to achieve a 99% overall average. over the summer I would read more book and practice for my future classes. when I get back to school I will pay more attention and take more note to get ready for tests. I would study an extra hour for the tests that I will take and make sure things in my mind are fresh and clear in order to achieve my goal. I would do 2 practice test for the specific subject before I take a test on that subject. I hope that I can achieve this goal on the first semester of my sophomore year. my future goal is to stay healthy and fit because nothing can buy health and fit.

  3. My goal for next year at fort is to improve on math grade. Over the summer my goals is to become more athletic. I will achieve this goal by running a mile every morning.Go outside more often instead of being in the house most of the time. I know these aren't a lot of goals but i want to keep it short and simple.

    1. You are not required to state a number of goals. However, you are expected to provide the steps that you plan to take in order to achieve them. It is easy to say that you will aim to achieve something, but actually following through with it is much more demanding than it appears.

    2. Both of your goals are good goals. You just need to be specific as to how much will you improve your math grade? If is by 1 point of 5? How will you manage to achieve that goal? How much study time will you need each week and how will you make sure that you achieve this goal? Those are some of the steps you need to be aware of. Also, what is more athletic, you need to be specific and have something that is measureable.

  4. My goal for my upcoming junior year in Fort Hamilton is to maintain at least a 95% in all of my AP classes for both semesters. Taking into account that the said courses are much more taxing than their regular counterparts, I will seek to manage my schedule by allotting a specific amount of time on each daily task (e.g. 3 hours of homework, 1 hour of physical activities, 1 hour of relaxation). In addition, I will depart from my "happy-go-lucky" mindset and actually work toward preparing sufficiently for performance assessment exams. I expect to see these steps come into fruition after each marking period. Considering that my desired occupation requires at least 12 years of college education, this goal may be applied long term.

  5. My goal next year at Fort Hamilton is to be in the honors academy. I will achieve this goal next year by doing really well in all my classes. I will try my best to get a 90 average or higher on all my classes, because if I do I have a higher chance in being in the honor academy. Also another goal I have is to be on any of the schools athletic sports team. I always wanted to play a sport but never really had the courage to do so. I am planning on finding out what sports the school has and see which sport is available at the time. Then I will see which sports that are available I am most interested in and try out for that team.

    1. Even if you don't make it to the honor academy you can talk to your guidance counselor about honors or AP classes. Just make sure you keep a high 90 in the classes and your teachers can put in a recommendation for the following year.

My goal next year at Fort Hamilton is to be in as many AP classes as possible. I'll achieve this goal by begging my Guidance Counselor to consider me for AP for all my classes that I have a 90 and above. My ultimate goal in life is to be either a doctor or a lawyer.

My goal for next year is to make it into a sports team. I will achieve this goal by training over this years summer to stay fit and healthy. I will practice throwing and catching balls at the park for at least an hour. I will run the school track during the time once a week. I will watch watch i eat and not pig out on my favorite food. I have my family members to help me and my friends. I will complete this goal before the spring term.

  8. My goal for next school year would to fit in time to go to the gym more often. Throughout the year I am so involved in different activities I never have time to go. So for this year coming I plan on no longer attending dance school on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On these days I will rush home do my home work and get my stuff ready for school. Than my mom and I can walk to the gym and spend at least 1hr. Even if we can't make it all three days 1 or 2 days a week would be an improvement from this year.

  9. My goal for the school year of 2014-2015 is to apply myself more in the classed by speaking out my opinions and sharing personal information with my peers and teachers. I also plan to study more to ace my classes with grades higher than an 85 and I also plan to play volleyball a lot more, since my season will begin in the fall.
