Blog #13 Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all...

Good morning cadets and I hope you are enjoying your time off from school. As we are celebrating during the holidays keep in mind that there are many other ethnic groups in our society that may not celebrate the holiday that you celebrate. So in keeping with the spirit of the season, please post to our site what holiday you celebrate at this time of year and what you have to be thankful for.  If you do not celebrate a holiday, then only post what you have to be thankful for.  Post a link for your holiday and a video would be great as well.  Comment on your peer's work and you are done, easy peasy and you won't have to spend a lot of time with this one.  I celebrate Christmas every year because that is the way I was raised in my family. I am thankful for my health and my family and blessed because all of my California family is visiting us for the holidays. One of my best presents ever. I am also very fortunate to have a great bunch of cadets/students that keep each and every day interesting at school. Thanks for letting me be a part of your future. Regards and have a Happy Holidays to each and every one of you.

I understand your situation, quite honestly I'm sure anyone would accept gifts.

I agree I pretty sure no one will turn away a gift from a family member.

I for one celebrate Christmas in a more monetary way. Being that I for one am Buddhist it does not stop me from celebrating a holiday that my mother always celebrated with her family in Macau. In my family we typically only exchange gifts for one another. We don't exactly have the extravagant dinner most people out there have. We enjoy the wonderful white rice with fish and sometimes sushi. All I can say that I really am thankful for would be the JROTC program and how it has introduced me to an entirely diverse and new group of people I can call my family.

In my culture, we don't celebrate Christmas. We celebrate Chinese New Year in February 2016. Its very important to Chinese as important as Christmas for the Americans. It represents a new beginning to us. And I thankful to my family and my friends who supports me and help me. Also I thankful to JROTC program that makes my school life more interests.

I was raised catholic and therefore, I celebrate christmas. I am thankful for nice meals on the table, family that loves me, and friends that care about me and are there for me even in the hardest circumstances. I am also thankful for the JROTC program which changed my life. I made more friends and learned how to be less insecure and just be myself because of it. This is a video about the history of christmas and what people sometimes forget about the purpose of christmas. Merry christmas!!

In my culture and my family, we are not celebrate Christmas. But we celebrate Chinese New year on Feb , it is similar to Christmas. Even though in my family don't celebrate Christmas, we also said Marry Christmas to our frends. I'm always thinkful for my family. I'm glad that I have a great family, they love me so much. And I have a big brother, he is so gentle. Also, I'm thinkful I'm in United States, and have so many new friends, they are great!

  23. I found your blog while searching for social work writers and finds it amazing. A social work capstone project requires a student to design and implement a project that demonstrates that he/she understands the values, ethics, and knowledge necessary for doing social work. This kind of project aims at testing how good a student can apply the knowledge and skills learned in class in solving community issues. Learn more from Social Work Capstone Paper .
