Blog #20 What exercise did you do to stay healthy during your week off?

Good morning Cadets:

Your task this week while you are off is to post the type of exercises you did to help maintain a healthy body while you were on vacation. I know that a lot of you did the 5K run/walk on the 23rd of April in support of the 100th Anniversary of JROTC so that is a great way to start the week.  Post your exercises that you did along with an exercise video or web page to support your work. Remember to comment on at least one of your peers work and you will be finished. I hope you enjoy your week off and I look forward to seeing you this next week.  Remember to keep practicing your Marching Cadence that you will be performing for your performance final as well and have a great week off.

This week I had attended the 5k run with the jrotc program with my friends , I had a blast , and a good run . Other than that I also road my bike with a couple of my friends in bayridge , around sunset it was fun we were going really fast and going down hills was the best . We also went to the pier on our bike , our legs were really hurting but we didn't care the amount of fun we had kept us going .
Here are some benefits of riding you bike

During the start of Spring Break, I participated in the JROTC 5K run. Though I power-walked most of the way. Nevertheless, here is a video about hacks for runners-

During the week, I have been involved with the JROTC 5k run as well, and I used my stationary bike located in my room since I am not to fond of the outdoors.

its great that you were in the 5k run because it shows how much you love the program. but also that even though you are not fond of the outdoors you still continue to excersise at home

Over the vacation every morning I did about 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups,and about 5 or 6 leg squats. During the vacation almost everyday I went out to play football with my friends.

During the break I was sick for the first few days with a fever resulting in me not being able to participate in the 5k run on Saturday. However, the Wednesday and Thursday during the break I decided to jog as well as skateboard with a few friends. The few friends included cadet Khan, Zhu and Younes.

During my spring break, I tried to stay active. I participated in the 5k run/walk. I went out to bike around owls head pier, the next day I went out to run for an hour , also ran the next day for a hour and then the next day I went with some girlfriends to play some soccer, plus some workout for like 10 minutes and that whole week came with 1 hour of kickboxing class that I'm in everyday from 7:30-8:30 PM, also I got a lot of sleep.

I had a busy week off. It was Orthodox Easter so my family was busy but I still managed to play basketball and ride my bike. I also went bowling in the Army base. I enjoy sports and being outside.

I'm usually really active and enjoy to work out 4-5 times a week. During the break I felt really lazy and didn't keep up with my work out. I didn't work out for the time I would usually work out , I exercised for like half an hour just to not make a habit of not working out and maintain healthy and in a good shape. I worked out at least twice during the break . I would do lunges and squats for my legs and crunches and v-ups for my abs. My favorite exercise was squats because it works out multiple muscle in the body..

Throughout the break I pushed myself to stay active as possible by performing some small exercises and running a mile and playing soccer.Although I did slack off a bit I managed to recuperate my time and did more push ups ,sit ups and ran more.

I go to gym and workout as much of all of my body parts. This includes chest, legs, back, arm, and abs. Most importantly my brains by reading and playing difficult games. I also run 6-7 times a week to maintain my running and improve it.

  20. If I am being sincere during my week off I didn't do much exercising other than the 5k run, but when I did exercise I made sure to take a long nice walk and t listen to some music. This song that I listened to is made for exercising and entertained me.
