Blog #9 Which of the 14 Leadership Traits is your strongest?

Great job on your videos and leaders last week.  Here is your chance to use one of the 14 Leadership Traits that best describes your strongest trait. Explain why you feel this trait is important and how is is your best asset.  Once you select your best trait, post a URL link for a story displaying the trait that you selected or a video. When you have completed this task, remember to post a comment on your at least one of your peers.  Good luck and I look forward to seeing your work.  I personally feel that my strongest trait is Dependability as is demonstrated by my 24 years of Military Service and my 20 years of teaching JROTC.,  Here is my video on dependability:

  1. I feel that out of the 14 leadership traits, my strongest is initiative. Initiative means that in the absence of authority or orders, one has the capacity to contain themselves and stay focused on the task at hand. The reason that this is my strongest trait is because I know when there is a time to work and a time to joke around. When I know something needs to be done, I do not let others distract me from my objective. It doesn't always work out perfectly, as sometimes it tends to get hard staying focused on a long and boring task while seeing your friends laughing and having fun. Having initiative is much easier for me personally when I am alone, because I know that there are no outside forces affecting my ability to do what needs to be done.

  2. I think the my strongest leadership trait is integrity. I try to have integrity in everything I do- without lying, cheating or stealing anything to achieve my goals. (Sound familiar?) My least favorite kind of person is someone who is dishonest and yet acts righteous. Apparently there is a website with a bunch of definitions for different values, called values.com- and here is a link for the page on integrity, which also includes stories submitted by people sharing instances where they witnessed or demonstrated integrity.

I think I also try to be really honest and straight forward with a person because I hate when others lie to me. As I've said before I treat others how I would like to be treated, therefore I try my hardest to not lie since I wouldn't like someone lying to me. Most of the time that I lie I end up saying the truth. Therefore I think I'm honest with others and myself.

I think my strongest leadership trait is justice. Justice is weighing facts for a fair decision. Being fair and not playing favorites. I think this because if I have to make a decision I will make it based on what I know and what is fair. Also because I always think I should treat others the way I would want to be treated, therefore I try to make fair decisions. I also think I'm mature enough to make the fairest decision no matter the situation.

That's a really cool dominant leadership trait to have. I don't have that because my emotions easily overwhelm me and my decision making. I think someone who doesn't do that is very rational and sensible, which most people aren't in times of distress and/or panic.

i agree with sham and her comment . this is a really cool trait to have, im sort of the same way you are but my emotions and feelings get in the way sometimes which makes this trait weaker than most.

  5. I think integrity is my strongest leadership trait mostly because I am substandard in all others. I don't do well in most other leadership traits because I find it difficult to say something in a group of unknown people because I get quite bashful and begin to overthink things and feel vulnerable and insecure and therefore I cannot take charge ferociously like I imagine a true leader would do. However I find it easy to have integrity where as all I have to do is be honest and not do anything detrimental which I find easy to do

  6. My strongest leadership trait is justice. I don't care who are, where you come from, nor what your sexual orientation is, if justice must be served then it will. I have always supported all of my friends with everything but I have always told them I will support you until justice is needed. We all make mistakes but we all need to learn from them. I take justice to my soul. It's the most important thing to me.

  7. My strongest trait from the 14 is courage. Courage is what allows you to remain calm while recognizing fear. Moral courage means having the inner strength to stand up for what is right and to accept blame when something is your fault. Physical courage means that you can continue to function effectively when there is physical danger present. Im capable of telling you that im=am wrong when i am =, im not afraid to nor am i going to sit and argue about something im wrong in . physically, im courageous as well,if theres a situation that needs help id definitely jump in without a fear to do so .One this that inspires me and motivates me to be more courageous is in this link below.

  8. My strongest leadership trait would be "Integrity", because I like to be honest with people and always point out their bad traits, but I am trying not to do that as much anymore.

  9. My strongest leadership is Integrity. I chose Integrity because honesty is the best policy and it's always good to tell the truth. Also, when you lie you always have to come up with more lie to cover up other lies it keeps on. So its better to say the truth and to be honest with people which is what I like to do.

  10. My strongest leadership out of the 14 is dependability. I am very dependable to others and able to complete a task without the need of help. I can help others that are in trouble or having a issue. I can make a lot of people rely to me if Something is needed to be done. I feel that this trait is my strongest out of the 14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0ts5mkwT1E

I feel like my strongest leadership trait is Integrity. I like being honest with others because I care about them. Especially my close friends. I wouldn't like to be lied to so its better to be honest with people so they can be honest to you too. People can also trust me , I don't spill out their stuff. I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to me. I feel that Integrity is my strongest leadership.

My strongest leadership trait from the 14 leadership traits is integrity. I am straight up and honest with the people I am close to or care about. They would do it for me so I do it for them, if I knew something that they involved them and they didn't know and I know it will hurt them in the long run ill tell them. I find being honest my strongest trait

I believe my strongest leadership trait is justice. when it comes to justice it always leads back to the evidence which helps you decide wether or not something is right or wrong. Justice also always has rules to it so there can always be a 'fair' outcome no matter what.
