Happy Monday cadets and it is one week before Memorial Day. I hope that you are enjoying your new awards that you received over the past few weeks. Your task this week is to post a video or story that pays tribute to a Veteran that you know or to Veterans that you don't in support of their sacrifices that they made for America. Post your information to our site and comment on at least one of your peer's work and as usual, you will be rewarded with an excellent grade for your work. The following is one of my all time favorite Memorial Day Videos. I hope that you enjoy it and I look forward to watching your choices as well. Good luck and I hope you have fun with this topic this week.

Blog #23 The Holocaust and WWII, what stories did you find.
Cadets, since we are learning about the Holocaust during WWII as well over the next couple of days, I hope you have learned something from the video in class that is a personal survivor's story. There is the link for the story in case you did not get to complete the movie on Thursday and Friday. Once you have viewed the video, post your thoughts here to our site and also find a Holocaust related story of your own to post to our site. Comment on your peer's work and I can't wait to see what you have accomplished while we are on our Washington D.C. trip. Here is the video:

Blog #22 Drugs and their effects on us!
Good morning Cadets. We are in the home stretch and the last marking period is winding down very quickly. Since we are learning about drugs, your task this week is to post an article about the drug that you are most interested in learning about and explain why you want to know more about that drug. You can use a video as well or a URL from a site that has a document. Remember to comment on at least one of your peer's work and you will be finished with your task. Good luck again and I hope that you enjoy this assignment. Here is the drug that I am interested in. MDMA or Molly. Drug of choice for a lot of students that want to party.

Blog #21 Your end of year Cadence Performance Final
Good Morning Cadets.
Your task this week is to post the Marching Cadence that you are going to use for your End Of Year Performance Final at the beginninging of June. Remember that your Cadence must be easy for you to use and must be between 1.5 to 3 minutes in length. Find your video on Youtube to practice with and you can also use the two cadence books that we have in the classroom. Once you have selected your Cadence, you must post the name of it to our blog along with the words/verses. Post the URL as well and make sure that you comment on at least one of your peer's work. There can only be 3 performances of the same cadence in each class so make sure you get yours posted first. Remember, first come, first served so don't be late on this assignment. I am looking forward to seeing your homework and watching your performances at the end of the year. Good luck and I hope you have fun and enjoy this assignment.

Blog #20 What exercise did you do to stay healthy during your week off?
Good morning Cadets:
Your task this week while you are off is to post the type of exercises you did to help maintain a healthy body while you were on vacation. I know that a lot of you did the 5K run/walk on the 23rd of April in support of the 100th Anniversary of JROTC so that is a great way to start the week. Post your exercises that you did along with an exercise video or web page to support your work. Remember to comment on at least one of your peers work and you will be finished. I hope you enjoy your week off and I look forward to seeing you this next week. Remember to keep practicing your Marching Cadence that you will be performing for your performance final as well and have a great week off.

Blog #19, Eating well into the 21st Century and getting the most out of your health.
Good morning Cadets. Since we are studying about First Aid and health, let's talk about what we eat and why we eat it. Your task this week is to make a list of the healthy items that you eat on a regular basis and post it back to our site. Along with that list, also the bad items as well. You next step is to find a website/video that supports the good or bad items and explain their affects on your body. Good luck and make sure you remember to comment on at least one of your peer's work as well. Live long and Prosper, so make your life a healthy one for sure.

Blog #18 Life as we know it and First-Aid
First Aid comes in all shapes and sizes. From life saving to assisting to make a call, it can all make a difference. Your task this week is to research for a new medical breakthrough that will help save lives in the future and if possible, right now. The sky is the limit and I know how well you can research. Once you have posted your URL/Video to our site, make sure that you comment on at least one of your peer's work and also to give a brief synopsis on what your story is about. Voila, and it is done, easy as 1-2-3. Good luck and I can't wait to read your stories about modern medical miracles.
