Good morning cadets and I hope you are enjoying your time off from school. As we are celebrating during the holidays keep in mind that there are many other ethnic groups in our society that may not celebrate the holiday that you celebrate. So in keeping with the spirit of the season, please post to our site what holiday you celebrate at this time of year and what you have to be thankful for. If you do not celebrate a holiday, then only post what you have to be thankful for. Post a link for your holiday and a video would be great as well. Comment on your peer's work and you are done, easy peasy and you won't have to spend a lot of time with this one. I celebrate Christmas every year because that is the way I was raised in my family. I am thankful for my health and my family and blessed because all of my California family is visiting us for the holidays. One of my best presents ever. I am also very fortunate to have a great bunch of cadets/students that keep each and every day interesting at school. Thanks for letting me be a part of your future. Regards and have a Happy Holidays to each and every one of you.

Blog #12 Which Anti-Bullying Poster, Term Project
Hi again cadets and hope you are enjoying your time off from school. As you know, your TERM PROJECT is due on the 8th of January after you return from the holidays. Your task this time is to post to our blog which venue you are going to follow for your project, either doing it by yourself or doing it with a partner. Remember that you can only have one partner and must post their name on the blog along with yours and your work must be shared equally. Explain why you chose to go single or double as well. Once you have done that, you must post at least one site to our blog that has current anti-bullying information/statistics. Using this information will help your work to be informative and reliable. Remember to comment on at least one of your peer's work as well. Your work must be at least 3 feet by 4 feet is size and contain a minimum of at least 6 facts/statistics. Your artwork is on you so be creative. If you turn your work in ahead of time before the 8th of January, 2016, you will receive bonus points. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your finished projects this next year.

Blog #11 Bully, Bully, but not the Teddy Roosevelt kind...
We are starting to learn about bullying and the epidemic that is occurring in the United States. Facts and figures bear out that at least 25% of the students in school have been bullied during the education. There are many more facts and stories that bare out the terrible actions and consequences of bullying. Your task this week is to find a story or video that is related to Bullying and to make sure that you give your opinion about the story. Post your link to the video/story and lastly to post feedback on at least one of your own peers work. Remember that your feedback should be positive if possible. Here is my link to a story about Bullying and I hope it is interesting to you.

Blog #10 Giving thanks during our Thanksgiving Holiday. How thankful are you?
Good morning cadets. Your task this week is to post reasons why you are thankful during this time of year in advance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. As usual, post a story or video that supports your point of view and lastly remember to post feedback on at least one of your peer's work. I will start this off with my reasons for being thankful.
I am thankful for living in a country that guarantees I have Freedom of Speech. I am also thankful for my health, family, abilty to work, grand-kids, and mostly my loving wife whom has supported me through thick and thin.

Blog #9 Closing the door on freedom, should we stop the Syrian refugees from escaping atrocities?
Good morning cadets. As we began to discuss in class last week, your task this week is to post your opinions, either pro or con on whether the United States should continue with bringing in Syrian Refugees after the wave of terrorist attacks around the world in the past two weeks. You must listen/read the NPR news article to get a better understanding on how the Syrians will be allowed to come to the U.S. Once you have done this, post your personal opinion and use an article from a reliable source/video to support your believe. Good luck and remember to post positive feedback on at least one of your peer's work. Good luck and make sure we keep this a friendly, spirited assignment.

Blog #7 Thank a Veteran for their contributions to our Freedom
Good Morning Cadets. Your task this week is to find a thoughtful video on YouTube that is a tribute to Veterans and post the link to our website. Remember to post your own personal thanks to Veterans for their sacrifices and explain why you chose the video. Lastly you must comment on at least one of your peer's work/post. Once you have done all three of these requirements you will be eligible for a possible 100 points for your work. Remember that you only get credit for your video if you post it before someone else does. Here is my video and I look forward to watching yours. I chose this one because of the music and the great work that salutes all of our Veterans, including those that went into space. Yes, they were in the military too. I hope you like this one.
