Since we are finishing up with First Aid, your task is to find a story that is related to either the Heimlich Maneuver, Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation that uses and A.E.D. All are great life saving methods but most people confuse Mouth to Mouth (Rescue Breathing) and CPR. Post your story or video to our site, give your synopsis of your story and comment on at least one of your peer's work. Once you have completed these 3 parts ot your task you will be elligable to receive your grade. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your posts.

Blog #15 First Aid and the Good Samaritan
Good morning Cadets and welcome back to the last semester of your LET1 year. For our new cadets welcome as well. This week we will be looking for new information about The Good Samaritan Law that protects those volunteers that try to save other peoples lives. Your task this week is to locate a news article or video about a Good Samaritan and to post the URL back to our site and give a brief reason on why you chose the story. Along with that, remember that you must also comment on at least one of your peers works. Once you have completed all three parts of this task, you will be eligible for your full grade. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your work, specially the new cadets. Here is my video for a Good Samaritan, I hope you like it. Don't forget to check back for the next homework later this week-end. There will be at least 3 to help make up for your test scores. :-)

Blog #14 Happy Happy New Year, start a resolution, start a resolution!
Good morning cadets and welcome to 2016. I hope you had a great holiday and are ready to get back to school. You task this week is to post what your New Years Resolution is for 2016. Some people feel pressured to make them and some make them and break them just as fast. So put up your resolution/goal for 2016 along with a video or website url that supports your resolution. Remember to comment on at least one of your peers and you will be done. Don't forget to finish your Bullying Poster for your term project as well and we are another week closer to being finished with your First Semester of JROTC. My New Years Resolution is to curb my sweet tooth and to use my time more wisely. Only time will tell but I feel motivated to make this happen so you can ask me how things are going once in a while in class.

Blog #13 Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all...
Good morning cadets and I hope you are enjoying your time off from school. As we are celebrating during the holidays keep in mind that there are many other ethnic groups in our society that may not celebrate the holiday that you celebrate. So in keeping with the spirit of the season, please post to our site what holiday you celebrate at this time of year and what you have to be thankful for. If you do not celebrate a holiday, then only post what you have to be thankful for. Post a link for your holiday and a video would be great as well. Comment on your peer's work and you are done, easy peasy and you won't have to spend a lot of time with this one. I celebrate Christmas every year because that is the way I was raised in my family. I am thankful for my health and my family and blessed because all of my California family is visiting us for the holidays. One of my best presents ever. I am also very fortunate to have a great bunch of cadets/students that keep each and every day interesting at school. Thanks for letting me be a part of your future. Regards and have a Happy Holidays to each and every one of you.

Hi again cadets and hope you are enjoying your time off from school. As you know, your TERM PROJECT is due on the 8th of January after you return from the holidays. Your task this time is to post to our blog which venue you are going to follow for your project, either doing it by yourself or doing it with a partner. Remember that you can only have one partner and must post their name on the blog along with yours and your work must be shared equally. Explain why you chose to go single or double as well. Once you have done that, you must post at least one site to our blog that has current anti-bullying information/statistics. Using this information will help your work to be informative and reliable. Remember to comment on at least one of your peer's work as well. Your work must be at least 3 feet by 4 feet is size and contain a minimum of at least 6 facts/statistics. Your artwork is on you so be creative. If you turn your work in ahead of time before the 8th of January, 2016, you will receive bonus points. Blog #11 Bully, Bully, but not the Teddy Roosevelt kind...
We are starting to learn about bullying and the epidemic that is occurring in the United States. Facts and figures bear out that at least 25% of the students in school have been bullied during the education. There are many more facts and stories that bare out the terrible actions and consequences of bullying. Your task this week is to find a story or video that is related to Bullying and to make sure that you give your opinion about the story. Post your link to the video/story and lastly to post feedback on at least one of your own peers work. Remember that your feedback should be positive if possible. Here is my link to a story about Bullying and I hope it is interesting to you.
